Nature and co-creation in sensitive male regeneration

It is an invitation to create time and space for mindful presence within a circle of sharing, questioning, and reflection—returning to an ancestral relationship with the forest as a great teacher. It is also work for the body and psyche, offering access to new eco-mythologies that recall the masculine role as a guardian of life and community. Thus:

- through presence, we forge deep connections and renew relationships
- as a group, we tend to our emotions and feelings
- with awareness, we embrace the paths of maturity
- with responsibility, we move from the individual to the collective
- in the circle, we listen, share, and express ourselves
- with affection, we return to inhabiting our own skin
- with intention, we nurture the wisdom found in feeling

This is a creative, counter-cultural invitation to co-create new masculine narratives, weaving together threads of care and affection to craft new ways of inhabiting our bodies and relationships, and of creating from our unique gifts.

What journey is this?
What is the proposal?

We create circles of sharing and support, revisiting and questioning masculine archetypes; we weave together the threads of our stories, dissolving the individual journey into a collective one; we create a gentle space and time centered on male sensitivity, awaken the creative body, and walking forest paths together, activating eco-mythological practices. We return to ancestral listening.

•
Why a men journey?

We live in a time of polarities, and seek to create a space for questioning rooted in our bodies, feelings, memories and life experiences. We need safe spaces to gather and weave connections—places where we can reconnect with the deep sensitivity within us, allowing us to remember, give ourselves permission, find new meaning, and create from that place.

Pneuma emerges as a space-time for political, social, and cultural reflection on the conditioning imposed upon the male body; it arises from a longing for a deep connection with ecosystems and a desire to sit around the fire, staying in touch with the forces that shape us as we journey toward maturity.

An integrative meditation teacher and researcher into breathwork and the holding of psycho-emotional landscapes, he is the creator of the educational, therapeutic, and community-based projects Meditation House Porto and Ursa Parda.

For 15 years, he has explored the intersections of meditation, breathwork, nervous system co-regulation, and new ways of inhabiting the body, places, and relationships within modern society. He facilitates practice groups and teacher training courses, circles for mindful and creative masculine presence, breathwork study groups, and journeys dedicated to holding space for individual, community, and ecological grief. He co-created Ursa Parda as both a practice and a school set within native woodlands and the stone-and-water landscapes of the Leça Valley; it is a space designed to heal the rift between humans and nature and to weave together ways of returning to, belonging to, and caring for the land.

His work is grounded in an academic background in Economics and Sports Science, as well as a professional career in business management. He is the author of the books A Prova do José (Chiado, 2017) and Volição: a Vida como Meditação (Moonlight, 2026), both of which explore themes of social and cultural questioning.

About the teacher

Nuno Miguel Teixeira

Raven Shori

This is a space that I can be seen, felt, heard and encouraged by other men to live an authentic life. A place to remember our ancient ways of belonging to the earth and each other as men. Answers may not always come but the right questions arise nonetheless. Nuno is a big man with a bigger heart and a humble leadership to hold a space where everyone feels valued.

Foster Hodge

I joined Pneuma hoping for connection, and it exceeded my expectations. I found a brotherhood, men I trust, a rare place to share struggle and joy. After the first edition I didn’t think twice about the second. One of the best investments I’ve made as a man and as a human.

Memoirs

Jérémy

Regarding the invitation itself, being in a supportive group of other men, through free sharing, movements or meditation, really helped building a sense of belonging trough fully being seen and supported while receiving and supporting the truth of other men. What does it means to be a Man? What is our relationship to our own ambitions ? Our families? Our partners? son and daughter? How to travel the realm of our lives being fully present, honouring our nature, our truth and our decisions? How to truly deal with our emotions as men? Some are the introductory questions that Nuno mindfully summit to the group while giving a full support and commitment to the collective exploration of answers and circumstances. We’re not just talking. We’re creating a safe and secure bound with similars that bring support to our own life’s path. I definitely take for responsible those circles some of the major moves I took in my life in the last years in profound grounds. Gratefulness and belonging would be how I resume my experience.
